The extension stores only one piece of information on your device:

• Extension state: Whether you have the extension enabled or disabled

This setting never leaves your computer and is not shared with anyone.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab: Required to modify link behavior on webpages
• storage: Required to remember your on/off preference

Note: The extension does not request the broad tabs permission. It opens background tabs by sending a message from the content script to the background service worker and calling chrome.tabs.create({ active: false }). Creating a tab in this way does not require declaring the tabs permission, and omitting that permission follows the principle of least privilege.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not connect to any external servers, APIs, or third-party services.

Data Security

Since we don't collect any data, there is no data to secure or potentially breach. Your privacy is protected by design.
